So my point being that if you wanted the definitive Deus Ex experience, Mankind Divided probably isn't it. It still feels like a Deus Ex game, even if it isn't as traditional as Human Revolution. Also, you constantly witness the oppression and abuse of augmented people (the game explains why) as well as interact regularly with the crime families in the city, so it's not exactly the happiest place in the world either. And sure, these elements are still there, but the game branches out to try new things and really succeeded. It's colorful and pretty instead of the constant dark and cold purely industrial/cyberpunk aesthetic of many of the other games. What was interesting to me though is that, for a lot of the game, it's bright and sunny outside while you are in Prague. A lot of the game is set in Prague, and it is beautiful. What I mean by that is that Mankind Divides ventures off from the traditional dark cyberpunk world in other Deus Ex games. The world in the game is gorgeous, the gameplay is great, and there were some bold risks taken with the game that I think really pay off. There will definitely be another Deus Ex game that continues with this storyline. I didn't think the ending was bad, you do take out the bad guys you spend the game hunting down, but it doesn't have the "I saved the world" feel of Human Revolution. While yes, Mankind Divided ends on a note where you are waiting for the next game, it is a fantastic game. I played Human Revolution and then immediately jumped into Mankind Divided.
